LGBTQ+ Inclusive Sex Education Curriculum

There are various LGBTQ+ inclusive sex education curriculums that have been developed and are being utilized within education systems as supplemental resources to fill in the gaps of current sex education curriculum standards. These curriculums have been specifically designed to provide medically accurate and inclusive information that is applicable to people of all gender and sexual orientations, ethnicities, and religions.

MNSexEducate Supplemental LGBTQ+ Sex Education Curriculum

The goal of developing MNSexEducate was to identify gaps in the current Minnesota sex education curriculum standards and develop a supplemental LGBTQ+ inclusive sex education curriculum.

Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education

Our Whole Lives designed a comprehensive lifespan sexuality education curriculum that aims to break down stereotypes and assumptions, fosters healthy relationships, and improves decision making. The curriculum includes interactive workshops and activities tailored for participants within 7 different age groups ranging from kindergarten to older adults. Our Whole Lives curriculum uses a holistic approach and provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information on a various topics including relationships, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.

Health Connected

Health Connected created a puberty and sexuality education program that provides students with unbiased, medically accurate information that tailors to the unique needs of each student, classroom, and community. The information in their program uses updated gender inclusive language and is relevant and inclusive of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual identities.
